Window Server Administrator Vertafore, Inc.
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Vertafore is looking for Window Server Administrator to assist in the installation and administration of server hardware within a data center environment. This position will work with the Application engineering groups for preparing systems for our SaaS applications.
Who Are You?
You will be one of the point of contacts for all new server builds, additions, deletions, and changes
You will coordinate maintenance activities on the systems to keep the operating system on supported patch levels
You will work with Engineering Teams to ensure their equipment needs are met
You will utilize the trouble ticketing system to track hardware problems and resolutions
You will establish specifications for equipment acceptance hand-off
You will participate in software project tasks as needed
You will participate in an 'on call' rotation outside of normal business hours
Experience with the Windows Operating System and clustering (required)
Strong Linux skills (desired)
Minimum of 5 years 'hands-on' experience supporting Microsoft Windows server and SQL environments.
Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Windows Server 2008
Experience administering a VMware infrastructure (Desired)
Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a production support environment.
Active Directory experience
Superior user documentation and training skills
Ability to navigate and interact with all levels of personnel within an IT organization from technical to high level executive management.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical certification required
