Responsibilities:
Associated applications/technologies include: Active Directory 2003, 2008, Quest Active Directory Software tools and PowerShell
Support Active Directory 2003/2008 and actively participate in cross-forest migration of users, computers, mailboxes, and applications.
Maintain, support Group Policies
Develop procedures for ongoing management of the Active Directory environment.
Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on AD and supporting systems.
Conduct performance monitoring and tuning.
Research and recommend new Active Directory and related technologies.
Create and maintain Active Directory documentation.
Troubleshoot problems as they arise. Top tier of escalation for complex or expanding problems.
Update management on status of problems.
Producing AD metrics on a regular basis.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5+ years of related experience with equivalent training. High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related analytical, scientific or technical disciplines preferred.
Experience with large-scale Active Directory implementations/migrations in multiple forests environments.
Expert knowledge of Windows 2000/2003/2008 Servers and Active Directory 2000/2003/2008.
Excellent knowledge of Active Directory management & integration tools such as Quest Software.
Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and WINS.
Experience with large-scale redundant Exchange 2007 deployments that span multiple sites and geographical locations.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols.
Ability to follow all company policies and procedures as well as internal departmental procedures to ensure consistency in server systems.
Ability to work in team driven environment to assist in organization-wide issues yet work independently to solve isolated problems.
Stay current on updated technologies to problem solve new problems.
Ability to investigate and assess issues to troubleshoot solutions.
Willingness to take ownership for own work to continuously improve performance.
