DescriptionThe primary function of the Windows Server Engineer will be to provide engineering and Tier 1 level support including day-to-day troubleshooting and administration for the RuffaloCODY Microsoft Windows Server environment.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: IT Director
Supervises: N/A
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Desktop Support on high level technical issues.
Play a key role in the development and deployment of new technologies at RuffaloCODY.
Responsible for backup, recover and disaster planning/implementation for all RC systems.
Knowledge of deploying and maintaining applications that use the Microsoft Server.
Day to Day maintenance of Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Active Directory, VMware and other software packages.
Work and Track Support Tickets as needed.
Ability to create documentation for End Users and other support staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, Licenses/Certifications, Skills and Work Experience)
Required:
Excellent communications skills.
Good writing skills to document policies and procedures that will be used by other teams.
Firm understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
Firm understanding of Microsoft Exchange Messaging Platform.
Ability to work with little direction.
Associate Degree and a minimum of 2 years prior Windows Server engineering/management or equivalent work experience is necessary.
Positive/can-do personality.
Savvy technical skills coupled with an eagerness to learn.
Firm understanding of VMWare.
Must be end user focused and able to achieve a quality end user experience.
Infrequent light physical effort required
Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level is moderate
