We are looking for a dynamic individual that is able to multi-task in a high energy, demanding environment. The Windows Systems Administrator position will require attention to detail and the ability to work independently and with the client on: implementation projects, Windows server support and incident response. The position is responsible for assistance in development and maintenance of server administration for a specific set of premium clients. Duties will include using knowledge to perform Installations of new software releases (OS and applications), performing system updates, evaluating and installing patches, and resolving hardware and software related problems in conjunction with the client?s support staff as appropriate. Maintenance of data files and monitoring system configurations to ensure data integrity. Primary job functions do require exercising sound independent judgment and providing after-hours support. Use experience to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks per approved change window and guidelines. Strong technical knowledge and minimum three years? experience with Windows Server 2008 R2.
Work with permissions in Microsoft Server 2008 R2.
Monitor all Windows and Linux servers for performance issues and stability concerns.
Ability to manage and apply Windows patches and security updates.
Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
Document issues and perform associated resolutions adhering to the Change Management program.
Working with and troubleshooting all of the following, including, but not limited to: SMTP, SNMP, SNTP, POP, FTP, SSL, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, telnet, SFTP, DNS, RDP, TCP, ICMP, and UDP.
Perform work in PCI DSS, HIPAA, FISMA and HITECH compliant environments.
Two years? experience with VMWare in an ESX clustered environment.
Creating and troubleshooting VM client and physical hardware issues, often with a client and a client?s third party vendors in a joint session.
Linux Systems Administration experience with a basic understanding of concepts and services.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with EMC data management and storage hardware.
Ability to perform Linux kernel and package updates
Provisioning and maintaining Storage Area Network equipment.
Team with Layered Tech?s Tier 2 or Tier 3 staff to troubleshoot issues.
Understand and comply with all policies and processes.
Perform rotating 24x7x365 after-hours P1 Incident Response and project related work.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Microsoft 2008 or 2012 MCSA is preferred or the ability to obtain within the first year.
Required skills include Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012, VM creation, and proven external client support.
Minimum six months? experience with Linux OS with a basic knowledge of programming/scripting experience in Bash or Perl or the desire/ability to learn is highly preferred.
Experience with Storage Area Network equipment provisioning and maintaining is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong organization and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work with changing priorities.
Proficient with an inventory and ticketing system.
Able to work in Global environment and culture, with flexible hour concept.
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex operating environment
Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with ITIL processes; ITIL Foundation v3 certification is a plus.
A+ and Security+ certification are desired.
Experience with Cisco UCS and Nexus firewall devices are a definite plus.
Education / Experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
4 to 6 years related work experience supporting medium to large Data Center environments.
