The Aircell Wireless Engineering Intern/co-op for the Customer Network Architecture group will be responsible for conducting site surveys, analyzing wireless data, troubleshooting wireless issues with customer equipment, creating wireless design and report artifacts and ensuring that our wireless products are optimized. Must be enrolled in a Master program in a Colorado school.

How will you make a Difference?
Conduct site surveys
Create RF models based on real-world measurements
Create predictive RF models
Recommend the optimal installation and configuration of all wireless devices.
Optimize access point configurations for reliability and performance
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for wireless deployments
Assist with characterizing areas to optimize wireless performance
Assist with troubleshooting wireless issues
Work closely with Field Engineer to ensure that all wireless systems are deployed correctly.
Maintain access point monitoring software
Ensure wireless testing equipment is up to date
Execute validation tests to verify the quality and performance of wireless deployments
Assist with writing and executing tests to characterize wireless deployments.
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Must be enrolled in a Master program in a Colorado school.
Must be available a minimum of 20 hours per week during the school year.
Experience working with wireless technologies is a must.
Experience in IP routing and networking optimization is required.
Other Skills, Experience and Talents
A strong familiarity with using and configuring Linux based systems a plus
Intermediate to expert understanding of 802.11 technologies.
Basic understanding of security technologies.
Experience using Air Magnet and/or a spectrum analyzer a plus.
Demonstrated skills in problem analysis and troubleshooting.
Ability to communicate extremely well within a team-oriented environment.
A proficient background in IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, and other telecommunication technologies is expected.
Intermediate skill using the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
Ability to be flexible and to maintain a positive attitude.
