Wireless System Engineer Altierre

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a key member of the System QA Team, the Wireless System Engineer shall be responsible for development and execution of system level test cases, performance evaluation of the fully integrated RF technology, and isolation of product defects. Candidate shall assess quality of the RF systems and communicate product performance & quality to engineering and product marketing groups.

Responsibilities include:
Development of system level test plans, and test suites for performance evaluation. Execution of the system test plans, and evaluation and communication of the test results. Work with customers and system deployment team to develop system integration plans. Development of product improvement requirements.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
A BSEE is required, MSEE preferred

Strong understanding of basic communications systems concept, RF and analog front-end measurements techniques, Digital radio transceiver concepts and performance metrics (such as, BER, PER, noise floor, phase noise, etc.)
Working experience with lab tools (both HW and SW), such as Spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope. Experience with matlab/Lab View is desirable.
At least three years experience with wireless system test or development.
Familiarity with major WLAN interfaces including WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot wireless systems and control software. In depth familiarity with test, measurement, and analysis techniques.
Strong Communication skills. The candidate should be organized and clear in communicating plans, requirements, results and information, both internal and
external.
Knowledge of digital electronics, DSP, and an advanced degree are all pluses.
