Overview of the Position:
Evolv (evolvondemand.com) has developed a solution that provides a guaranteed increase in workforce profitability and business predictability by enabling our clients to stop using intuition and start unlocking value from big data using a proprietary, scientific methodology to select, develop, and sustain a more profitable hourly workforce.
At Evolv, you will work under Director of Workforce Science (based in San Francisco) to ensure that we successfully obtain, mine, and drive actionable intelligence out of the millions of unique applicant and employee data points that allow us to provide valuable solutions to our $10 billion target customer market.
We are seeking someone with the following key abilities/skills:
1) Deep knowledge of workforce management, personnel selection, and related quantitative methods
Performing job analyses, item development, and test scale and criterion development under the supervision of the Director of Workforce Science.
Conducting in-depth statistical research, utility analyses, and technical documentation writing related to the development, validation, and refinement of new workforce science tools, including realistic job previews, job simulations, problem-solving tests, bio data instruments, personality/workstyle/fit assessments, and post-hire data capture tools such as performance and engagement surveys.
Conducting and presenting research related to personnel selection and performance management.
2) Education, aptitude and background
Master?s or PhD in Industrial Psychology, Quantitative Methods/Statistics in Behavioral Science, or closely related field is required (PhD is highly desirable).
Although this role is focused heavily on selection science, performance management, and analytics, the ideal candidate would also be very comfortable interacting with clients at all levels while managing complex projects with tight timelines.
Strong analytic skills.
Native-level fluency in English. Fluency in additional languages is highly valued.
3) Communication, listening and organizational skills
Superb listening, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to stay organized.
4) Desire to Work in an Early-Stage Company Environment
Comfortable working in a small, mid-stage company environment, where you apply your high level of drive and innovation and take ultimate responsibility for the end product, understanding that this frequently means keeping cool under pressure and working non-standard hours to get things done.
Understand the importance of changing direction when necessary, and making immediate adjustments to accommodate for a revised focus.
Focus on making decisions based on the highest return that can be achieved for the time that you put into solving a problem.
Strategic thinking skills and the ability to use knowledge and insight to make product development recommendations.
