As part of GFI Software?s Corporate Marketing Team, this position is responsible for writing and editing a wide array of internal and external corporate communications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency and versatility in writing for multiple formats and audiences, delivering accurate, compelling and error-free content that meets all appropriate standards and corporate style. Typical copy assignments may include conceiving, researching, writing and editing original content for GFI Software?s website, blogs, electronic newsletters and social media channels, as well as customer case studies, white papers, video scripts, employee communications and corporate presentations. This position also will contribute to the continued refinement of the company?s brand and messaging, helping to set consistent corporate messaging standards and communications practices across all technology business units and various functional departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create original, compelling and error-free copy for multiple communications channels and audiences, including but not limited to web, print and e-marketing materials, employee communications, PowerPoint slides, video scripts, feature articles, white papers, blogs and social media content
Conceive, research and produce copy to position GFI Software as a thought leader in the technology industry
Accurately proofread and edit copy by deadline
Stay current on the latest technology trends, with a particular focus on how new technologies impact small and medium businesses
Assist various internal teams and departments, such as HR and IT, with their own communications needs
Maintain GFI standards on all copy and propose updates to documented standards when necessary

Qualifications:
Ability to produce copy on spec, on time and on topic with minimal supervision and editing
Must be well organized, able to establish priorities and meet required deadlines
Ability to take initiative and manage different projects concurrently
Strong editorial and proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
Strong time management and project management skills
Communication:
Excellent writing skills and grammatical knowledge (in English)
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Education/Experience:
A degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, mass communications or similar
3+ years of experience in related position
Strong knowledge of the IT industry is an asset
