The JobThe public affairs writer will be responsible for helping to share SpaceX's incredible story with the public. He or she will work with a small group of creative talent to share the story of one of the world's most exciting companies with the public through press releases, print, video, social media, editorial copy and others.
The writer should be relentless in search of compelling stories to tell and collaborative in the creation and execution process. He or she must have a proven track record of writing.

Responsibilities- Develop/produce a wide variety of original written materials including press releases, newspapers, magazines, videos, online publications, company newsletters, and advertisements
- Generate ideas that can be executed in a variety of media
- Transition easily from one tone of writing to another to match the wide variety of audiences to which SpaceX must speak
- Review and edit the work of other writers
- Routinely handle the pressures of deadlines and juggling multiple projects
- Review copy for errors in grammar, syntax, punctuation, and spelling and check the copy for readability, AP style, and agreement with editorial policy
Requirements- A proven track record of powerful writing in PR, journalism or advertising fields
- A keen sense of cool
- Ability to consistently produce written documents with impeccable grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Must be able to express both technical and non-technical ideas effectively to a wide variety of audiences
- Must have excellent communication skills; must proactively solicit input from a variety of team members in order to deliver compelling content.
- Ability to concentrate and perform with excellence under pressure
- Attention to detail
