ZigBee Firmware Engineer SmartSynch

The ZigBee Firmware Engineer will have experience with and understanding of ZigBee protocols and firmware development for ZigBee devices.
Responsibilities

Design, develop and debug microcontroller firmware for ZigBee network management
Maintain and extend existing firmware to support new features, devices and protocols

Analyze technical requirements documents and propose implementation solutions
Present and participate in peer reviews of design documents and new code development
Present innovative ideas for product and process improvement

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
Three or more years of related experience in embedded software/firmware with solid knowledge of ZigBee network protocols
Solid experience in C language software development
Excellent oral and written communications skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues

Desired Qualifications

Experience with ZigBee stack firmware - Texas Instruments MSP430 and Z-Stack experience preferred
Knowledge of ZigBee Smart Energy Profile standards
Experience in automated metering or the utility industry in general
Experience with telecommunications protocols
Experience in developing low-cost high-volume high-reliability products
Proficiency with Rational Tool Suite.
