Basic Function:
The Business Analyst is responsible for managing the process of developing business and technical requirements for new products and enhancements to existing products. Specifics include:
Understanding and documenting business and technical requirements and functional architecture
Ensuring appropriate testing is done before products are released to customers
Provide user training and implementation of applications and process
Provide Quality Assurance supervision
Driving project/service delivery
Successful execution of this role will require strong thought leadership as well as excellent communication skills with technical and business customers.
Principal Accountabilities:
Develops project scope and objectives based on user needs business requirement.
Works with internal business groups on process improvements to improve business results.
Provides guidance concerning business implications of application development projects.
Provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues
Translates business requirements into solutions
Responsible for documenting requirements, making data changes, managing the product backlog and tracking project schedules and product backlog.
Assists in project planning, resource allocation, and cost estimates for each release.
Maintains all business and process requirements related to the business configuration of the platform.
Assists in development of system requirements.
Coordinates with environment team and data infrastructure process.
Develops and manages the test plan to ensure a quality product is delivered
Ensures compliance with process and methodology in presenting a comprehensive understanding of design options.
Provides reference materials to other segments of the organization
Assists with functional test prioritization including recommendations and risk evaluation.
Consults on system requirements and design documentation.
Participates in the planning process for environment migration.
Qualifications/Experience:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree
6 years of experience in IT Project Management
3 year of experience in Business Systems Analysis and Design
Strong communication skills and Problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in MIS, Engineering or Business
8 years of experience in IT projects
PMP certification or relevant courser work
4 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis and Design
Experience with Agile Development or other rapid cycle development processes
