| Description: | Job Description: We are seeking a molecular biologist to join our Research and Development team as a Postdoctoral Scientist. In this role you will design and carry out basic research to develop new applications for the nCounter Analysis System. This is a hands-on, benchwork position involving regular interactions with both our internal research team and with external collaborators. Requirements: - Recent Ph.D. in the life sciences, with a background in molecular genetics, gene expression, or genomics - In-depth knowledge of molecular biology techniques, particularly nucleic acid manipulation and hybridization-based assays - Up-to-date hands-on experience with state-of the art molecular biology tools - Ability to design and carry out experiments independently - Excellent communication skills - Preference for a working knowledge of statistical analysis and bioinformatics - Preference for recent work in copy number variation, chromosomal aberrations and/or cancer genetics Additional qualifications include: - Lead a focused research project in a well-defined timeframe - Design and carry out key experiments - Coordinate support for the project from other team members - Take responsibility for the progress of the project - Present research results regularly in a clear and precise manner - Work cooperatively in a team environment - Provide intellectual contribution to a variety of additional projects. |
