The Finance team, reporting to the CFO, is a shared service organization that provides accounting, accounts payable, collections, credit, financial analysis and reporting, payroll, tax, and treasury support to all channels of the Adknowledge business.
Our team is comprised of 18 domestic people and one international person (located in the UK) that are enthusiastic and intelligent professionals who are passionate about the work they do and the people that they work with. Our fast paced, start-up mentality has been a key contributor to our continued growth and success.
This position is located in on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO and reports to the Corporate Controller. Primary duties include:
People Management ? Manage and motivate a staff of 5+ individuals responsible for G/L, Cash, A/R and A/P
Reporting ? Oversee the monthly close cycle
Establish Controls ? Develop and implement ideas to improve and maintain financial and accounting controls throughout the organization.
Key Accounting Treatment ? Implement and maintain new accounting policies or changes to existing policies in current accounting processes in efficient, effective manner.
Annual Audit ? Coordinate auditor fieldwork procedures for annual audit and quarterly reviews. Work with financial reporting group to complete financial statements.
Process Improvement ? Assist in identifying and implementing process improvement in current accounting
Operations Integration ? Assist with the integration of acquisition operations into current finance infrastructure. The Company does approximately two acquisitions per year.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring and confident leader and possess the following characteristics:
Minimum of seven years experience in accounting and experience managing an accounting team is a plus
Expert proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Degree in Accounting
CPA and public accounting experience a plus
Experience with Great Plains a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
