Established in 2004, 7digital is a leading digital media delivery company with HQ in London, and offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Luxembourg and operating globally. Combining our secure and open technology platform with the broadest agreements within the digital media industry, we provide comprehensive digital music rights from all major and indie labels plus technology tools to a wide range of partners while managing our own music download stores in over 37 countries.
Our Application Programming Interface (API) is in use throughout the world, with key partners that include Samsung, BlackBerry, HP, T-Mobile USA, Toshiba, Ubuntu, Pioneer, as well as many start ups who utilize our API to offer streaming services and ala carte downloads. 7digital.com download stores are available globally and optimized for Europe and North America with dedicated stores in 37 countries.
7digital entered the US and Canadian markets in Q4 2009, grew its business gradually, and in 2012 incorporated a US entity. We now have a team in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York as well as key staffing in London dedicated to grow the business, but we need a few more great people.
7digital North America is hiring a highly organized, self-starter who can help to manage a variety of operational and administrative projects and active client relationships across our primary sectors of consumer electronics, carriers, start ups, and brand-oriented companies.
Requires professional experience with high complexity technology, a thorough understanding of the digital media landscape, a tolerance for shifting sands, and a genuine curiosity about the rapidly evolving business of digital music. Specific requirements and responsibilities listed below -
Providing account management to all North American B2B clients across core industry sectors, including but not limited to the following:
Communicating essential information about API functionality and 7digital value proposition to existing and prospective clients via email, phone and in person
Bringing a basic understanding of core sectors of consumer electronics, carriers, start ups, music
Managing the day-to-day operational aspects of a client relationship including tracking payments and billing, meeting scheduling and assisting in cross-team communication
Coordinating API contracting and execution of NDAs
Serving as first point of contact for any active B2B clients in technical escalation process
Following up with client invoicing and ensuring prompt payment
Keeping active client information in CRM
Coordinating with North American team and London technical account management team
Understanding basics of digital product development, platforms, API and capabilities, music rights
Understanding client interests and needs
Being a team player across all facets of building the global 7digital business and be willing to help shape our organization
Helping to support North American market lead on all business and account-related activities, including scheduling meetings, providing continuity during travel and industry events, and coordinating key account communication
Qualities and qualifications:
3-5 years of related professional experience
College degree preferred
Understanding of digital landscape, rights, technology, APIs and interest in learning
Ability to think quickly and comprehend both details and big picture
Excellent judgment and organizational skills
Ability to manage complex relationships effectively
Willingness to get the job done and ask for help when needed
Able to identify problems and recommend solutions
Able to communicate in a variety of internal and external relationships
Willing to travel in North America and occasionally to London (less than 25%)
