About the Team
We are a dedicated and enthusiastic IT team, responsible for supporting the business by providing any infrastructure required to meet companywide goals. IT works closely with all departments at GreatCall to help deliver new products and services, both for our existing customers, as well as potential new markets.
About the Job
This position is responsible for supporting our customer facing and internal applications and services by managing our software configuration team and database operations team, and assist with the design and optimization of the deployment process to test and production systems. This position will also work closely with our Systems Engineering team to optimize performance and security on our public web infrastructure.
Lead a cross functional team of application operation experts (SCM, DBA, Web Operations, Development Operations).
Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required.
Lead team in automating as many repeatable tasks as possible in collaboration with the Software Development team.
Coordinate and facilitate cross functional alignment within Software Development and IT Operations departments around design, implementation, configuration, and performance management for all of the Application Operations infrastructure Responsible for installation, configuration, and performance management of databases.
Assist with design and maintenance of web server infrastructure and custom developed applications.
Coordinate maintenance and optimization of infrastructure used by the Software Development team to support automated deployments and continuous delivery of applications.
Education: Bachelor?s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of manager/supervisor experience
3+ years of experience with the development web applications, SDLC, Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET
3+ years of experience with principle, techniques and best management practices of databases, data integration and web services
2+ years of industry change management best practices
Education: BS in CS or EE preferred related experience
Background in systems engineering, design and/or architecture
Proven ability to lead troubleshooting and issue resolution teams
Proven ability to execute projects on schedule
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to collaborate with individuals from all levels of the organization
Exposure to SCM in .NET environment
Experience with MSBuild, MSDeploy, and ASP.NET a plus
Experience with IIS and web servers
