The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing third level support to E2open's Supply Chain applications to meet our global customers' Service Level Agreements and operational requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and be able to independently work with E2open's engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems. Major responsibilities include:
Interact with various internal IT support functions (Development, Operations, QA) in a global environment to analyze root cause and provide a permanent fix or workaround.
Maintain and deploy application patches, following standards and best practices.
Actively identify incidents and manage the incident resolution process to provide service recovery.
Develop program utilities to automate processes.
Manage the handover between project and support teams, and learn about new project delivery as is necessary.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 1-2 years hands-on experience in Java, perl, and shell scripting.
Additional opportunities are available for senior positions
Understanding of development methodologies, version control and configuration management.
Experience with database technologies including SQL and JDBC.
Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
Understanding of HTML, XML and server-side technologies.
Experience with JBoss/Tomcat or other web servers preferred.
Experience at a global software or consulting firm is an asset.
Experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with Oracle Applications ERP systems a strong plus.
Logical approach and excellent problem solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and provide feedback and solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to work well both in a team environment and independently under minimal supervision.
Must be willing to be on call as and when required.
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, on own initiative.
