Associate Director/Director, Engineering and Facilities KBI Biopharma
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Evaluates, procures and installs process equipment for current and new processes and contracts in conjunction with Director, Technical Transfer and Facility Fit.
Participates in site identification, selection and acquisition activities to ensure the most economical application and utilization of company facility resources.
Responsible for ensuring the facilities comply with all local, state, federal, and corporate guidelines related to environmental health and safety functions.
Develop and maintain technical and project documentation.
Research, identify and recommend manufacturing systems modifications; prepare reports or recommendations for capital project, engineering feasibility studies, equipment selection and construction methods.
Participate in developing project budgets in preparation for annual capital budgets.
Reviews preliminary and final working drawings for adherence to specifications, design consideration and cost criteria
Coordinates construction activities to ensure attainment of budget and schedule objectives.
Evaluates the qualifications, professional capabilities and reputation of architects, general contractors, sub-contractors and service contractors available for bid consideration.
Responsible for the coordination, modification and maintenance of all plans and requirements on an on-going basis.
Responsible for manufacturing support and implementation of new processes and process changes.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of engineering standards and specifications.
Supervises maintenance and repair of facility, utilities and equipment.
Develops plans and programs responsive to present and anticipated space and facility requirements.
Formulates and monitors company facility standards.
Provides design and space criteria and coordinates final approval of facility designs.
Represents the Facilities/Engineering activities during FDA, EU, or other regulatory inspections, as well as during client audits.
Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients and others informed of facility status and related issues.
Responsible for the employment, employee motivation, counseling, discipline and changes in status of employees supervised.
Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of projects; coordinate and respond to requests for changes from original specifications; controls costs, scheduling and quality of work.
Procurement and installation support, including coordinating the activities of contract engineers during system modifications/additions.
Responsible for assuring that departmental employees comply with required safety procedures; responsible for ensuring that all departmental employees attend and participate in safety training and programs.
Bachelors Degree in an Engineering field along with 8+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
