Business and Market Analyst
The increase in our sales pipeline has necessitated Knewton hiring a Business and Market Analyst. The Analyst will be responsible for conceptualizing, building, and maintaining financial models for business planning, analysis and control. This person will work to provide business planning services to the company's managers and staff. These activities will include extensive quantitative analyses, such as business modeling, forecasting and market research in support of the business development team
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the various data gathering and research needs of the business development team
Assess the financial implications of various partnerships and strategic decisions and make recommendations based on financial and strategic analysis
Assist with forecasting and modeling around business development strategy decisions
Create and analyze short and long-term financial models and conduct financial due diligence.
Work closely with Finance team to support corporate financial modeling processes as it relates to deals
Support process improvement throughout the partnership team and the company
Support the Product and Tech teams in quantifying their efforts and reporting out expenses
Help with other research needs in support of the broader partnerships team
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
BA in Economics / Finance
Two+ years experience in investment banking or consulting
Ability to work independently
Ability to handle multiple projects at same time
Excellent communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to present complex data in easy to understand ways
Strong language, mathematical, reasoning, and/or other ability
Ability to read, write and communicate with other employees in English
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to communicate in a high pressure environment
