The Channel Sales Account Executive is responsible for supporting the Channel Sales team in the mission of proactively building and maintaining relationships with Vendor to advance the direction of Availity's Advanced Clearing House in the market. This position requires expert communication and relationship building skills to interact effectively, and accomplish objectives at all organization levels. The Channel Sales Account Executive will perform against specific strategic account metrics including outbound call campaigns, provider enrollment and education. Must be capable of implementing key marketing strategies which enhance the position of the company. This position requires a self-starter. Some travel is required.
Establishes, maintains, and updates relationship plans with all assigned accounts
Responsible for building strong inter-departmental relationships to achieve individual and Account Management team objectives
Reports regularly on the progress and accomplishment of stated goals by updating metrics that track results.
Identify and analyze customer needs and establish strategic objectives and goals.
Identifies and coordinates marketing, management, and technical resources necessary to achieve existing up-sell objectives.
Obtains, utilizes and accurately summarizes key data for management, in a timely fashion, that identifies opportunities, problems, and resolutions.
Interacts with clients in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
Manages associated provider system registration and financial documentation.
Provides training to customers to enhance product use and familiarity.
Identifies recurring problems and notifies team members, and escalates to management when necessary.
Provides customer/client view point of product usability and potential product improvements based on customer feedback and interaction.
Accepts projects as assigned and contributes to other projects in an ongoing manner, including sales, clerical, administrative, and support roles.
Ability to communicate effectively about IT issues.
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS (Required)
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Strong analysis and research skills.
Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.
Ability to work under pressure.
Min. 3 years? experience with account or customer management experience in healthcare, payer, provider relations, or technology environment.
Knowledge of healthcare payer processing, provider/hospital office operations, customer service and IT operations.
Experience with provider community to include hospitals, physicians, and ancillary facilities.
Technical systems integration knowledge.
HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) knowledge.
Experience working in an entrepreneurial company.
Knowledge of claims processing systems and EDI
Ability to work independently under minimal guidance
