About the Community Manager Intern Position:
We are seeking a motivated, organized, multi-tasker to fill our Community Manager role. The Community Manager Intern will work closely with new customers to ensure a successful launch campaign and community awareness of the customer?s application.
This internship provides an opportunity to work on the convergence between democracy and the latest in silicon valley technology innovations. You will be directly involved in supporting and managing the online open government and citizen engagement efforts for agencies at all levels of government across the country. Your efforts will help government move into the 21st century, and help Granicus build the citizen engagement tools of the future.
This person should exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and self-starter. This role requires marketing and PR knowledge as well as social media savvy. The Community Manager will work closely with the CivicIdeas Product Manager, Marketing and Operations teams.
Community Manager Intern Responsibilities:
Plan and execute launch activities with new CivicIdeas customers including press releases, social media campaigns, local media outreach, ?guerilla marketing? tactics, local community organization outreach and write blog articles
Work with customers to establish launch timelines and projects/initiatives for initial launches
Ongoing customer marketing support including monthly customer check-ins and site administration as needed
Develop content calendars and encourage customers to work cross-departmentally
Host monthly user forums for customers to encourage knowledge-sharing and promote continued outreach
Review user metrics and work with customers to increase usage
Promote new customer launches internally and support sales efforts as needed
Provide customer feedback to appropriate internal channels
