Community Manager Thinkful
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Drive student success by building Thinkful's student communities. Successful education is a social experience: as community manager, you'll be directly responsible for our students' career changes, promotions, and other accomplishments.
You'll come up with ideas to improve our communities, run experiments, and measure the results. You'll support and nurture our cohorts of students to make sure every individual succeeds, and you'll be the one students turn to when they need help.
As Thinkful's sixth hire, you'll work closely with Dan, one of the co-founders, and the rest of the education team. You'll quickly become an integral part of our small team, exposed to every aspect of our company - from the education experience to marketing and sales to product and technology. You'll also have the opportunity to learn web development by taking Thinkful courses for free, giving you further insight into the education experience and giving you a skill that will prove valuable for the rest of your career.

-Work closely with our students to understand their goals and ensure they're on the right path to meet them
-Drive activity in Thinkful's online communities to engage students and help them stay on track
-Develop processes to scale our community-building as we grow
-Help our students showcase their work publicly and prepare for their career changes
-Represent our students in conversations about the future of our product and education experience
-Extremely strong communication and listening skills
-Able to deeply engage with a large number of students in a short period of time
-Self-directed, with an ability to determine your own path towards a goal and execute on it with minimal oversight
-Excited to learn programming: if you've tried learning some already, that's a plus
-2+ years community management experience at a startup or other online community (doesn't have to be professional; can be a community you built for fun)
