This new position of Customer Reference Program Manager will work closely with sales, marketing, and others within the organization, to drive the development of customer references and reference assets for use in marketing activities and sales engagements.
Work closely with sales to identify potential customer references in order to grow the reference pipeline
Secure customer references and develop plans for engaging customers based on their ability to validate Trustwave?s brand, support key themes and launches, and demonstrate the value that Trustwave solutions provide. Reference activities include peer references, RFP references, press/analyst references, case studies, solution overviews/sales talking points, videos, logo use, to name a few
Manage the development of reference materials; identify key customer stories, prepare writers, engage customers in the interview and review process, ensure that the content is structured to influence customers? decision making process
Identify opportunities to acknowledge and reward strategic customer references by providing them with speaking opportunities, executive meetings, and thought leadership platforms in a programmatic fashion
Collaborate with sales, product marketing and product management to understand the market landscape, sales opportunities, company offerings and differentiators, messages, and competitive landscape? all of which are essential to developing strategic references and customer relevant reference materials
Support beta programs and product launches, creating plans that incorporate customer references across the marketing and sales enablement mix? campaigns, Web, press outreach, analyst briefings, sales tools, etc.
Fulfill sales? peer reference requests
Evangelize the Customer Reference Program with customers, sales and product marketing to increase awareness and to ensure success
Create a measurement system to report successes, the customer reference pipeline, and overall value of the program
Experience developing customer references and reference materials
Deep understanding of software sales
Demonstrates a consultative approach
Strong program management skills
Excellent communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
