The Newmarket International Data Services Data Integration, Transformation, Enrichment Specialist will be responsible for the driving, developing, delivering and executing improvements and efficiencies to Newmarket International Data Services current services and offerings through the use of industry standard Data Integration, Transformation, and Enrichment principles, and tools such as SSIS, Informatica Cloud/ PowerCenter, and Cloud Data Synchronization Service (DSS). The design, development and execution of these service engagements will be core to the responsibilities. This position will additionally focus on designing new Data Services offerings leveraging the principals and tools above. This position will interact with customers; this is a customer facing role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leverage industry standard best-practices and data management tools to develop the following for current Data Services offerings:
Standardization of Data Services processes, queries, tools
Create efficiencies through the use of automation
Develop robust checkpoint validations
Train team members on the above
Leverage industry standard best practices and data management tools to develop new Data Services offerings:
Work with other departments in Services to identify areas where additional services could be applied to solve customer challenges
Work with product release teams to gain early insight into new products and features and identify areas where additional services could be added to augment customer business practices
Work with Solutions Consulting on custom projects where industry and data management tool knowledge can be leveraged to supplement or build new data integrations, transformation or enrichments.
Train team members on additional services
Leverage third party tools to address business challenges and provide a complete solution
Leverage third party tools to perform record matching and record deduping
Responsible for data transactions to include: database upgrades, data pulls, third party conversions and data cleansing, including consulting with users to determine functional specifications
Responsible for process automation to include the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation and testing
Accountable for working effectively with the rest of the team to deliver the highest quality deployment services
The ability to identify obstacles, and create and implement manageable solutions
The ability to have strong written and verbal communication skills ? working with clients on service engagements
This position will have varying work hours, weekends and evenings will be required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science or degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required.
3+ years demonstrated experience with SSIS and other Data Management technologies like Informatica PowerCenter/Cloud required.
7+ years experience in database technologies with focus on data integration, ETL, and data enrichment.
Demonstrated experience with SSIS, ETL, SQL, stored procedures, database triggers, database manipulation, integration and transaction management.
Exceptional technical skills with MS SQL 2005, 2008, 2012
Strong QA skills in testing data accuracy and integrity
Knowledge of software deployment methodology
The ability to work across departmental lines, and to establish clear common objectives, is critical.
The ability to understand client needs and communicate articulate, attainable solutions is essential.
A strong customer service orientation is required
