Summary of Position
The Demand Generation and Event Manager will work as part of an experienced and innovative IBM Information Lifecycle Governance marketing team. This person will be responsible for executing lead generation campaigns and supporting ILG tradeshows and events. The role requires in-depth knowledge of marketing automation and CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.com and Marketo, to manage lead input, campaign results, analyze data, and improve processes.
This position requires the ability to synthesize campaign data and communicate recommendations both upstream and downstream to cross-functional teams. A keen understanding of best practices in the capture, tracking and reporting of leads is essential. In addition, this person should have experience with tradeshow and event planning including working with third-party vendors, budgeting, and managing timelines. The ideal candidate is ambitious, outgoing, articulate, intelligent, and very well organized. The position is for a self-starter driven by opportunity, accomplishment and the desire to work as part of a successful team.
? Evaluate campaigns from third-party vendors based on marketing strategy and lead attainment and qualification objectives.
? Manage the complete campaign lifecycle from ideation through to results analysis in collaboration with other members of the marketing team.
? Perform ongoing lead management ? owning the lead from inception through qualification and nurturing before passing it onto the inside sales team.
? Ensure consistency of messaging and branding through the campaign lifecycle.
? Execute marketing segmentation, targeting, list selection, testing and analysis to achieve business objectives and improve the effectiveness of marketing programs.
? Understand and integrate disparate data sources into coherent views to provide buyer-centric analyses and enable data-driven marketing program design.
? Work with the marketing team to gain guidance for campaign management successes or needs for improvement. Proactively manage campaigns accordingly.
? Event planning and execution including managing timelines, deliverables and event reporting.
? Manage the calendar of events. Participate in planning sessions to understand event strategies to be deployed.
? Coordinating people and resources for all events and ensure consistent and complete communication of all event expectations and objectives.
? Coordination of event-related follow up activities.
? Management of promotional items, collateral and all other show related materials.
Required Qualifications and Experience
? Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
? Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B marketing campaign program management, lead management, and reporting
? Proven experience in monitoring and analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness and ROI using Marketo and Salesforce.com
? High proficiency in campaign execution and reporting using Marketo
? Prior experience in defining, measuring and reporting on program success metrics and Return on Investment
? Prior experience collaborating with sales to achieve revenue goals
? Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
? Results-oriented, extremely proactive and collaborative
? Great attention to detail
? Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, performance-driven environment
? Can work independently, manage your own priorities, and maintain communication with stake holders real time
? Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written); strong interpersonal skills.
