SugarSync is currently looking for candidates who have significant operational experience in two key areas:
1. Deployment of software into a large-scale, multinode software-as-a-service environment. We are looking for candidates who have helped define and implement automated system installation/configuration procedures in a Linux environment. 2. The candidate will work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to implement and deploy scripts/tools to facilitate error free and repeatable software deployment processes.
Scripting (shell, perl, ruby, python) at an advanced level with the ability to use scripts to automate software deployment tasks.
Experience in automated configuration, deployment and release management of software using tools like Puppet. Possess familiarity with centralized administration and automation for Linux/Unix (puppet, mcollective, cobbler, SVN, etc.).
Familiarity with basic Linux/Unix administration
3+ years supporting systems for a consumer facing services company (e-commerce, online services, etc)
Experience monitoring large server installations (100+ servers). Experience managing SaaS infrastructure a big plus.
Knowledge of best practices for software development. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science a plus.
Experience in a "continuous deployment" environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Track record of providing effective documentation
