About the job:
Based either in San Francisco, CA or New York, or Chicago, the Director of Strategic ISV Alliances will have responsibility for driving existing and incremental business with a broad range of existing and new strategic ISV partners across North America.
Work with Twilio partners to generate new business in existing accounts and in new markets, as well as ensuring our partners assist in delivering value to our customers.
Identify, prospect, and onboard new strategic ISV and System Integration partners to the Partner Program.
Work closely with partner executive management to agree on go-to market activities in specific industries and territories.
Work with Twilio and partner resources to develop agreed business development plans which will include lead generation activities, training/education, and development of joint offerings.
Clearly articulate, document, and present communication enabled use-cases to executive management both internally and externally.
Work with cross-functional teams to drive success for our vertical and strategic company initiatives that involve working with strategic ISVs.
Provide consistent partner management to ensure that our partners are developing their sales, pre sales and delivery capabilities in line with salesforce.com strategy.
Focus on building a strong pipeline of ISV and System Integration relationships that ultimately result in driving 3 to 5 million dollars in revenue.
Not afraid of carrying a quota as well as MBOs.
Experience with creating and building differentiated relationships with partners.
Strategic thinker with who is able to blend technology and business strategy to develop compelling plans for new partner initiatives.
Ability to create credible business cases highlighting revenue growth opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to drive significant revenue (at least $3M to $5M) through alliance partnerships.
Understanding of Twilio and basic telecommunications.
Ability to understand communications-enabled business processes.
Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and partner constituencies including senior level executives, legal, finance, support, sales, and marketing experts.
Comfortable with complexity and critical thinking on multiple levels of abstraction.
Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations; can gain concessions without damaging the relationship; have a "win-win" philosophy.
Ability to influence functional groups to a shared vision.
Highly motivated and independent contributor.
High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business.
Minimum 10 years experience in the following areas: alliances, marketing, consulting or sales, of which a minimum of 3 years must be working in channel sales or alliances.
A Bachelor's degree or other significant business experience; MBA preferred.
