In this role you will facilitate innovative, collaborative, and iterative product development and the creation of breakthrough brand experiences by leading, coaching and inspiring UX Architecture, UX Design and Usability. You will also take ownership and responsibility for the product. From definition to acceptance, this role will lead the Product Owner team to represent current and future customer requirements and ensure the Product Owners are jointly accountable for the delivery of the product.
Work collaboratively within an agile environment on teams made up of strategists, product managers, engineers, data experts, domain experts and the UX team to deliver world-class experiences
Product Owner Organization
Ensure Product Owners define product functional specification, work with project stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, and manage and prioritize product backlog
Drive the development of product requirements for new features
Oversee Product Owners work with architects to populate backlog and create user stories with sufficient data and business value
Responsible for providing acceptance criteria during sprint review
Accountable for the success of an optimized and innovative product owner and user experience organization
Evolve organization?s approach to User Experience Design based on industry best practices, including Agile development methodologies
Build, oversee, manage and develop the skills of an outstanding team of UX designers, UX architects, and Usability specialists
Develop, evolve and promote methods of expressing solutions and concepts beyond the traditional artifacts (sketching, storyboards and prototyping)
Evangelize user experience throughout the organization
Foster an environment of multidisciplinary collaboration and creative problem-solving, establishing processes, training and knowledge sharing
Accountable for timely execution of deliverables, including coordination with other groups and resource planning / project staffing
Champion the value of UX among the senior leadership team
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of attributes, education and experience:
An applicable and progressive track record of 10+ years in product management for software products and proven ability to develop and grow a successful organization that has matrix relationships.
Strong leadership skills evidenced by building a successful and enduring team with track record of coaching and developing direct reports.
Strong track record of building, growing and developing teams in the software industry ? enterprise security software experience is a plus.
Ability to foster the integration of cross-functional teams to achieve business goals, leading by inclusive management style, open communications and solution-based problem solving.
Strong record of building effective relationships within and outside the company. Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated ability to manage controversial situations, customer negotiations, and/or influence/persuade executives.
Ability to foster open communication and mature directness, while enabling people to own their responsibilities within the team through delegation that establishes clear ownership, expected outcomes, and operational guidelines.
Experience with Agile / SCRUM.
Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills a must.
Bachelors or four year- university degree in business, computer software or equivalent preferred.
Experience working in a global organization is strongly preferred.
Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience in providing strategic contribution to business results. Must be experienced working with executives and presenting strategy.
