Director of Sales Operations
The Director of Sales Operations is responsible for supporting Sunrun?s sales team by driving sales and channel productivity, forecasting, market analysis, strategic go-to-market planning, and sales compensation design and execution.
The candidate must be a strong leader, extremely well organized, analytical, detail-oriented and quality-minded. They must be able to identify and act on opportunities for improvement in process, reporting, analytics, forecasting and performance metrics. A successful Director of Sales Operations will support the vision of Sunrun?s sales leadership team and will report to our Vice President, Sales, Business Development & Project Operations.
The position is full-time position and is based in San Francisco, CA.
Works with regional and channel leaders to ensure clear visibility on sales performance by actively managing the forecast and performance metrics and by asking the tough questions
Develops key performance metrics and dashboards that help the sales organization focus on performance drivers
Designs, develops and implements a motivating incentive compensation plan (and external SPIFFs for the channel) in support of the company?s compensation philosophy of paying for performance and rewarding talent
Develop market analysis strategy including: competitive intelligence, market share reporting, TAM analysis and assistance in market penetration and channel coverage strategies
Drives the sales and go-to-market planning process, inclusive of regular updates to quotas, headcount, and sales plan
Manage evolution and adoption of SFDC and other enterprise sales tools within channel and direct sales teams.
Responsible for project management and implementation of sales and cross-functional initiatives that are critical to execution of the sales plan
Develops a functional roadmap in collaboration with software product management to build a best in class sales platform to drive exponential sales growth over the next 3 years
Develops Sunrun product and company expertise and have a strong knowledge of the residential solar industry.
Provides leadership to the business; asks and answers the tough questions
6+ years? experience in Sales Operations
Start-up experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies
Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
Experience managing personnel and contributing toward the development of department strategy
3-5 years? experience managing a Salesforce.com system or a related CRM system, :including system configuration, layout and reporting
Strong problem solving and collaboration skills
Experience in developing and making formal presentations to executive management
4 Year University degree
