The primary responsibility of the Electronic Design Engineer is the electronic circuit design as applied to maintaining existing products and designing new instrumentation. This position will report to the Director of Engineering.
Electronics Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Responsible for analog and digital circuit design skill used to resolve day-to-day existing product issues and new circuit design to support next generation products
Investigate and fix problems with existing products
Prepare and release appropriate engineering documentation
Design new analog and digital circuitry, write firmware and test functionality
Generate schematics and work with PC Board Designer to test prototypes
Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in electrical engineering, with electro-optical design preferred. Must also be knowledgeable in embedded hardware design, analog and digital circuit design, DSP, Spice simulation experience, C/C++ programming in embedded systems, FPGA experience, VHDL/Verilog programming, familiarity with EMC/EMI design techniques, ability to use standard test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator). Also should have familiarity with engineering document control procedures.
Candidate must be a self-starter, possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
A BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
