Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources the Human Resources Analyst (HRA) will be a key role in the department. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring data integrity of the company?s HRIS, conducting complex report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRA leads HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the company?s retirement plans, as well as conducting all benefit testing required by federal and state regulations. This role may also include international human resource responsibilities. The HRA maintains an effective level of business literacy about the organization, its financial position, its mid range plans, its culture and its competition.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reviews, tests and implements HRIS system upgrades, work with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix, document process and results.
Coordinates, maintains and enhances human resources systems in conjunction with other information systems, assists with payroll administration as needed.
Administers the company?s 401(k) plan to ensure operational accuracy and conducts required non-discrimination testing for all benefit plans.
Verifies the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance, calculates data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Completes the monthly accrual reconciliation for Accounting.
Maintains budget spreadsheet that includes salaries, payroll taxes, fringe allowances and expenses. Reconciles monthly budget to help determine variances for the department.
Develops formal project plans for carrying out each assigned project using appropriate design and testing methodologies.
Recommends process/customer service improvements and innovative solutions. Serve as key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders for HRIS.
Collects and analyzes data, develops reports to meet management requests and needs for human resources reporting at various levels.
Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS, with a focus on product and service delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms.
Increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participate in user meetings/conferences.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills Required
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Business or Human Resources or equivalent degree.
Five to seven years of experience in an analyst or generalist role in a fast paced environment.
Proficient in ADP?s HRB system, knowledge of other HRIS desirable.
Excellent project management and business literacy skills.
Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint software skills.
Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus, simple reporting.
Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels regardless of geographic location.
Be self directed and motivated.
Take initiative to identify and anticipate business needs and make recommendations for implementation.
