Instructional Designer, Training & Development VBrick Systems
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Instructional Designer/Developer will be responsible for the design and development of training programs and materials to support sales and implementation training for the VBrick family of products.
Develop courseware, including design documents, content development, production, and testing.
Manage the instructional process including the creation of design documents, content outlines, storyboards/scripts, and instructional materials.
Use innovative approaches to achieve results-focused learning.
Develop audience appropriate, cutting edge instructional technologies including mobile solutions, social, and informal learning.
Conduct needs analyses that articulate the current state, end state, and gap to which the intervention is targeted.
Determine the proper blend of instructor-led, hands-on, and web-based training to be used in a given solution.
Actively research and recommend innovative training tools and technologies to deliver cutting edge design solutions.
Recommend and present training solutions to leadership that meet business objectives and maximize benefits to customers and employees.
Partner with subject matter experts to obtain information and validate courseware content.
Organizes training materials for multiple delivery channels to promote learning and reusability.
Continually evaluate the effectiveness of training by developing and implementing post- instruction evaluation tools and criteria.
A Bachelor?s degree, preferably in Instructional Design or an education related field; master?s degree would be a plus.
1-5 years? experience as an instructional designer, preferably in a software environment.
The ability to collaborate with a wide array of constituents including from business leaders and subject matter experts.
A strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to represent VBrick in a professional and positive manner.
Creative, practical problem-identification, problem-reporting, and problem-solving skills, including the application of those skills to design and development of the final product.
Knowledge of adult learning theory and current approaches to both instructor-led and online learning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to key audiences and stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, on time, and within budget.
Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Able to deal well with ambiguity and fast-paced change.
Team player with a positive attitude, sense of urgency, and willingness to do whatever is needed to achieve project goals.
