Gilt City is seeking an intern who knows the ins and outs of Facebook, Twitter and many other social media platforms. This person must have a keen ability to write in an engaging way, communicate well with customers, potential members and coworkers, and have ideas that they are able to execute in our private and public online communities. The Social Media Intern at Gilt City will report to the Social Media Manager and be responsible for creating content, executing campaigns across platforms, managing different aspects of our social media campaigns and analyzing data to optimize community growth, engagement and conversion efforts.
??Eligible candidates must be located in NYC and enrolled in a college/university. This is an unpaid internship for academic credit only.
Create content and engage with members across social media channels
Manage social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and private communities
Collect data for analytics reporting
Plan and coordinate content from local markets, events and national campaigns
Must be able to receive school credit from an accredited college or university and provide proof of such
Must be able to intern at least 20 hours/week in our NYC office
Extensive knowledge of social media channels, functionality, and tech space through managing ones own online presence. (Ideally candidate will have experience managing a group, business, or brands social media presence as well but this is not required)
Excellent written skills, especially in context of creating social media content
Ability to work cross functionally with PR, Events, Marketing and Sales teams
Willingness to learn, think creatively and execute quickly
Familiarity with web analytic tools (Google Analytics, bit.ly, Facebook Insights etc)
