Plateau Systems is growing rapidly and we are actively seeking two IT Support Analysts at our Arlington Virginia headquarters. The IT Support Analyst maintains Plateau's desktop hardware and software and responds to Tier 1 and Tier 2 service desk requests. Because you will be the front line of support to the internal user community, a customer-service orientation is crucial. The Analyst will install, test, update and troubleshoot software and hardware configurations. He or she must have a working knowledge of IP networking, Microsoft Office applications and Dell desktop and laptops. This individual will be responsible for moving computers within the facility and must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Job Duties include:
o Serve as first point of contact for all internal customer support requests.
o Provide necessary support in the problem management and resolution of all Service Desk assigned desktop hardware and software related trouble tickets.
o Provide support service to include maintenance, installation, movement and removal of desktop related equipment
o Recommend and schedules repairs and upgrades.
o Maintain desktop hardware and software inventory databases
o Experience with Windows 2003 server, AD and Windows Vista and XP OSes.
o Knowledge of Dell hardware and software, emphasizing in Microsoft products
o 2 years Tier 1 or 2 Help Desk experience A+, Network+, MCP, or equivalent work experience MCSE a plus
o Experience with Unix systems and Macintoshes and plus
o College degree required
o Excellent customer service skills.
o Serve as an individual contributor and team member.
o Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
o Display attitude of understanding and tolerance for other's beliefs and opinions by being diplomatic.
