Source Medical is currently seeking a Jr SQL DBA ? for its Birmingham, AL location.
Summary of Position:
As a Jr SQL DBA , you will be a key member of the Client Services Team with the core responsibility of delivering SourceMedical Software Applications to the customer. As an individual contributor in this role, you will be directly responsible for coordinating all activities of the migrations, application builds, upgrades, and maintain SQL implementation tools.

You have at least 1 year of experience in the software industry, working knowledge of SQL, working in a technical team where you developed your skills while performing various functions such as: being a subject-matter-expert in developing solutions, testing solutions, resolving technical issues; building technical environments, communicating with customers (both orally and in writing). You have a Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manages and completes SQL migrations, application builds, upgrades, maintaining SQL implementation tools and CSAT Testing of new releases.
2. Responsible for documenting processes including application builds, upgrades, customer facing implementation install guides for each software release.
3. Act as escalation contact for key clients in order to address application issues and concerns as well as manage support experience.
4. Ensures corporate resources communicate effectively and complete tasks on time.
5. Regularly performs additional assignments outside core project responsibilities.
6. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
-- BA/BS degree in Computer Science with 1 year of demonstrated software application support experience
--SQL skills, basic administration, including creating, modifying and running scripts.
-- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, COM+ and .NET client server architectures.
--Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Terminal Services Server.
--Strong understanding of intermediate to advanced network principles and Internet architecture including: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN?s
--Expertise with spreadsheets and data analysis tools is required.
--Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills and solid project management skills.
--Excellent root cause troubleshooting skills.
--Must be a strong team player, a self-starter, and self-motivated.
--Excellent interpersonal skills (written and oral) and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff levels.
--Superior customer service orientation and customer relations skills
