MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - 3RD SHIFT New Breed Logistics

Summary of Functions:
Due to continued growth we are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor on 3rd Shift for our Memphis based facility.
Ensure supply of spare parts is tracked and managed preventing downtime to equipment
Ensure all work orders and preventative maintenance records are logged and kept for future analysis
Troubleshoot and diagnose root cause of downtime and equipment failures
Coordinate with vendors when necessary to perform onsite work
Perform routine preventive maintenance of the facility includes (but is not limited to) all trash conveyor, conveyor components (rollers, belts, motors, switches, photo-eyes, sprockets, chains, and pneumatic valves etc.) forklifts, pallet jacks, electric and manual carts, merchandise and supply racking, loading docks, overhead doors, all facility ventilation and air handling equipment, air compressors, replace fuses and circuit breakers, overload relays, repair lighting, rebuild or replace motor starters, replace faulty control wires and devices, identify and replace faulty bearings, rebuild gearboxes, and be able to read and follow electrical schematics.
When determined by the department manager, this individual may be required to work overtime or help out in another function or location.
Identify and record any product, process and quality system related quality issues.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to system issues through designated channels.
Direct day-to-day activities of team to ensure an adequate balance of preventative maintenance as well as work orders are kept.
Assist peers and other Maintenance Technicians as necessary when repairing, troubleshooting, or installing equipment
Manage Kronos activities and hours relating to all members of the janitorial and maintenance team
Determine work schedules of janitorial staff and maintenance team to ensure adequate and optimal coverage
Train and supervise team members including administration of necessary disciplinary action Administer required training to team members on Lock Out/Tag Out, MSDS, and other Safety programs and protocols critical to the tasks of the department.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is this position is also required to hold heavy components or parts in place for installation. This requires overhead, cradle, and reaching positions. Awkward positions are possible to ensure proper equipment repair. Some desk/computer work is required to manage parts inventory, purchase order requisitions, and time keeping, in addition to any administrative functions not listed.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) years experience is required as a multi-craft technician for this position.
Previous supervisory skills are required. Certifications in various fields of electrical work, conveyance, and other technical areas are preferred. An Associates and/or Bachelor?s degree is preferred.
