This position is responsible for deploying, implementing and leading Continuous Improvement initiatives and facilitating World Class Operations Management methodologies for the plant. Responsible for identifying, implement and sustain continuous improvement projects across the plant and will serve as a change agent to advance the productivity initiative. This position will use Lean Six Sigma concepts to eliminate waste and build customer intimacy in all processes from order entry through manufacturing through invoicing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as an example and role model in the desire to eliminate waste in all areas of the business.
Lead initiatives, kaizen and six sigma projects as required by the business to achieve both its strategic and tactical goals.
Map all business processes, identify waste from the standpoint of the customer, and develop actions plans to eliminate the waste.
Understand and gather external customer requirements and desires. Develop plans to improve business processes to facilitate improved customer satisfaction to maintain customer accounts as well as give tools to the sales team to obtain new accounts.
Work with internal stakeholders at all sites to implement best practices and develop consistent processes that will allow the integration of systems.
Serve as the communication portal between operations and the technical team. This includes defining requirements for system development as well as moderating any conflicts between the groups.
Participate in the testing of new systems to ensure a smooth introduction into the business.
Act as the coordinator for any training necessary in the rollout of any new business processes.
Bachelor?s Degree is required. (Engineering and/or Chemistry).
MBA or Master?s Degree is desirable.
Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing certification and master black belt certification required.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
Eight (8) years of experience working in manufacturing environment. Five (5) ? Seven (7) years of leadership experience within a lean manufacturing environment.
Extensive demonstration of project improvement leadership skills such as initiative, Six Sigma and kaizen project leadership. Extensive process mapping and analysis history.
Mid-Level PC skills needed such as a basic knowledge of database structure, system mapping and technical terminology. A high level of competence in standard Microsoft is required.
Basic knowledge of ISO, GMP, FDA, and HAACP. Excellent demonstrated leadership skills and positive role model. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to make wise decisions using all available information with minimal direction. Ability to present to all levels within an organization. Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously.
Possess qualities of self-motivation, confidence, organization, tact, persistence, common sense and high energy level.
Ability to quantify results, identify new opportunities, adapt to change, and interface with all levels of management on a continual basis
Minor lifting and long periods of standing.
Mostly in an office environment but projects could require work in a manufacturing setting.
Internal: All teams and all team members.
External: Various suppliers, customers, and service providers.
