SourceMedical is currently seeking a Manager of Business Analysis for its location in Wallingford, CT.
Summary of Position:
In this role, you will be a key member of Source Medical?s Product Management Team. You will assist in mentoring Business Analysts on requirements management, use case development, project management, and other project artifacts. You will also ensure that processes are being consistently followed across projects, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the department and across the cross-functional team. As a contributor in a matrixed organization, you will participate in the development of project deliverables as a hands-on member of the team.
The right candidate will possess superior organization and communication skills (written and verbal). You must also have proven leadership and team-building experience, and the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as a high-performing team member.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Train and mentor BAs on the development of use cases, business requirements, functional specifications, and other product development deliverables. You will also produce these artifacts as needed.
2. Where project management is concerned, you will lead some projects and will assist / guide BAs with the management of their projects. You must be comfortable developing and guiding others on how to develop / use deliverables such as: project plans, project charters, business cases, risk management plans, and others.
3. Act as Scrum Master and/or assist BAs with adoption of Agile processes / tools / roles.
4. Regularly interact with customers (internal and external) to understand how the product features are / would be used in a real environment for new products as well as enhancements to existing products.
5. Take full end-to-end ownership of product being developed and work closely with the engineers to build the required product/feature.
6. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
--Effective interpersonal skills (presentation, written and oral), solid leadership / team-building skills, and the ability to communicate well with a variety of staff levels in a matrixed organization.
--Experience implementing, training, and coaching staff on deliverables, processes, and best practices fundamental to product development and project management.
--At least 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience managing, evaluating, defining, and implementing deliverables for cross-functional, large-scale software projects.
--Demonstrated ability in translating business and functional requirements into requirement documentation, use cases, designing workflows and creating functional specifications using industry-standard product development documentation processes.
--Demonstrated ability to successfully evaluate requirements with varying levels of complexity and communicate those requirements to technical audiences.
--Candidates must also be detail-oriented, have good organizational skills, possess strong leadership, follow-through and analytical skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess strong collaboration and facilitation skills.
--A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
--Experience in the healthcare industry.
--Minimum of BA or BS
The ideal candidate will also have:
--Experience in contributing to the design of GUI and usability concepts that result in an intuitive user experience.
--Demonstrated experience of owning the definition, planning, development and deployment of mission critical applications.
--Nursing background (RN preferred) with work experience in an inpatient and/or Ambulatory Surgery Center setting.
--PMP / other recognized project management certification (or equivalent hands-on work experience).
--Experience in Inpatient Hospital management products and Electronic Health Records is desirable.
--Less than 25% travel may be required, but travel will not be routine
