New Ventures (formerly R&D) focuses on expanding Adknowledge?s position in the marketplace through exploring high growth opportunities within the online advertising industry.
The specific area of focus for this role is on the Cubics product. Cubics is a platform connecting over 1200 Facebook applications and over 700 websites with thousands of advertisers.
The team consists of Account Managers, Media Buyers, Developers and Analysts. This position will report to the Manager of Demand Development.
The Media Buyer is responsible for advertiser trafficking, revenue growth, and business analysis for our web display and in-line products. This individual should have highly developed communication skills, a core understanding of the online display business, and analytical skills for investigating business metrics. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all advertiser setup, trafficking, and optimization for the Media Operations team, as well as evaluating opportunities for growth. Advertiser Trafficking: The Media Buyer will be creating and managing campaigns sourced by the internal sales, business development, and account management teams. These activities will require superior organizational and communication skills, along with an acute attention to detail.
Revenue Maintenance: The Media Buyer must have the investigative capabilities and self-starter mentality to keep all systems up-to-date with the most recent bidding and revenue information. This role will be responsible for accurately reporting advertiser revenue and associated costs to multiple teams within the organization, including Finance and Executive teams.
Revenue Growth: A key function of the Media Buyer is to pinpoint opportunities for current advertiser growth. In order to do so, the Media Buyer will act as a bridge of communication between Publisher and Advertiser Account Management teams.
Business Analysis: The Media Buyer will consistently search for new opportunities to optimize and grow our current campaigns, via advanced targeting and data analysis. This role will also work to minimize and maintain any additional costs associated with specific campaigns (ad serving costs, advertiser fees, etc.), while continuing to grow revenue.
Product Development: This role will require coordination with the developer team in order to inform product improvements and needs. These improvements will include, but are not limited to, reporting growth and data automation.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
2-5 years? experience in consulting, analyst, or operations role at on online/tech company
Intermediate knowledge of Excel
Exposure to and/or experience in online advertising pricing models and metrics
Interest in online advertising and social display
Experience in Media Buying or working directly with an ad server/DFP is a plus
