As our Operations Manager, you will:
Compile and analyze required data into actionable strategies, advising management on project budget forecasts, tracking actual spend and identifying any reasons for variance.
Coordinate and manage complex, cross-functional company initiatives to ensure that Quirky efficiently meets all customer expectations.
Act as liaison between the sales, production, creative, planning and logistics/operations teams to fuse insightful strategic thinking with detailed and diligent execution.
Cross functional planning & project management (40%)
Develop in depth understanding of Quirky's business model and how it translates to both market and business objectives and priorities.
Act as liaison between the sales, production, creative, planning and logistics/operations teams.
Collaborate with account representatives, demand planning, production, systems, technology and logistics to define requirements and set timelines for all projects.
Scope, schedule, and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
Develop and manage projects throughout their lifecycle - product development timing, manufacturing, packaging design, transportation lead times, allocation and distribution lead time to retail selling floor.
Responsible for coordination of cross functional teams to ensure all task due dates are met and project remains on schedule for target completion date.
Work closely with the Product Managers to manage and allocate resources in an effective and efficient way.
Outline detailed project scope to hand off requirements to Operations team for execution and implementation during the fulfillment and transportation phase of projects
Review all vendor agreements/sales contracts prior to execution to ensure compliance and that programs are implemented with accuracy and high level of customer service.
Provide weekly recap to management on project status, identifying potential risks and action steps.
Update the sales teams on the progress of projects associated with each of their specific accounts during weekly S&OP meeting
Hold post project retrospectives to identify areas of opportunity for process improvement
Perform ad-hoc case analysis as needed for special cross functional projects and future initiatives
Operations analysis (60%)
Support the demand planning team by providing estimates for logistics related costs for sales programs. Provide air and ocean unit rates, duty, drayage, transportation in order to accurately calculate COGS on new and existing products and project initiatives.
Reconcile program RFQ estimates versus actual costs upon project completion.
Partner with the Finance team on the development of our department budget, spending forecasts and month end closing activities for logistics and operations related expenses.
Monitor and track operations expenditures to ensure alignment with department budget.
Develop short and long term capacity plans for both 3PL warehouse locations to properly support inbound and outbound volume for coming weeks.
Gather and analyze logistical data on areas such as freight lane optimization, freight rates, small parcel negotiated rates, ecommerce distribution optimization study and network analysis.
Present analysis results for consideration to the team in order to develop infrastructure and optimization strategies.
Develop alternative solutions and participate in continuous improvement projects and cost cutting initiatives with our outside partners (freight forwarders, carriers, and third party logistics providers).
Highly organized, goal oriented, self motivated individual passionate making invention accessible.

Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
3-5 years operations and/or project management experience
