The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker able to understand business goals, develop product requirements, collaborate with the user experience/design team to create a novel and beautiful product user experience, and work with the development team to execute the vision.
As part of the product management team, the product manager will manage the product lifecycle, execute on the roadmap, and manage product issues and feature backlog.
Drive the product vision and roadmap for Bloomfire products
Define product feature requirements and success metrics
Analyze metrics to refine product experience
Work with management team to communicate proposed product decisions
Manage and organize reported product defects and prioritize with development
Coordinate with 3rd party product teams to produce components of the core product
Ensure completed acceptance testing of newly developed features
Coordinate product functionality with outbound marketing product launch initiatives
Occasionally represent the product team at industry events
Prioritize features in the context of the competitive marketplace
Experience as a product manager in a web based software company
BS or BA in Computer Science or related field is preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
High level of initiative and passion to create a simple and intuitive user experience in collaboration with the user experience and development team
Needs strong customer orientation and the ability to think through product scenarios and prioritize objectives
Hands-on experience managing product requirements for web, mobile applications, and desktop software applications
Experience writing SQL queries considered a plus
