As part of the Enterprise Software Solutions team, the Product Manager is responsible for defining and delivering Teradici?s core RDSH session-based desktop solution, Teradici Arch. The Product Manager will be responsible for the full product lifecycle including product definition, product pricing, roadmap, build/buy/partner options, and competitive analysis.
Teradici is seeking an intelligent, technical, hardworking individual to join its team as a Product Manager, Enterprise Software. Teradici product managers have responsibility to define and drive their products through the complete product life cycle. The Product Manager is responsible for every phase of the software product lifecycle, including market requirements, positioning and product strategy, competitive analysis, pricing, distribution strategy, managing documentation, release, and delivery.
Product Managers work not only with the development team, but also spend a great deal of time working with sales, implementation team members, and customers to ensure proper fit between the product and target market, and that Teradici is continuing to lead the industry with its innovate, easy-to-use solutions.
Manage product definition, roadmap planning, feature funnel management, go to market strategies and tactics, schedule management, new feature analysis and alignment of product features to customer requirements.
Work extensively with cross functional groups from Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales and Support while establishing and maintaining relationships with key enterprise partners and customers.
Understand and characterize customer use cases as they pertain to desktop virtualization and management solutions, and work with product development and other product managers to translate these business priorities into clearly communicated product requirements.
Collaborate with numerous stakeholders (most notably customers, sales, and development) in defining the product priorities within the product roadmap, which consists of a balance of new capabilities, enhancements to existing features, and defect fixes.
Provide detailed guidance to engineering and QA resources, as well as functional and technical documentation to ensure the right product gets delivered with each release.
Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning.
Determine appropriate pricing and packaging for the product.
Work closely with the sales team to develop sales tools and training.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related technical degree, MBA preferred
2+ years product management experience
Experience in one or more of the following domains: desktop or application virtualization, cloud computing, desktop or system management tools, IT operations.
Technical familiarity with Microsoft Windows desktop or server (Remote Desktop Services) operating systems is a strong plus
Track record of defining and delivering successful enterprise software solutions over multiple releases
Product lifecycle management experience, biased toward new or early stage products
Experience working with enterprise IT customers to discover and validate business needs and product requirements
Product management experience with an Agile software development methodology is an asset
Successful track record of marketing enterprise software solutions through clearly articulated value propositions and product differentiation
Experience setting price points and/or modifying pricing models to achieve greater revenue is a plus
Strong technical and analytical skills and thorough understanding of the complete software product lifecycle.
Ability to work equally well with engineering, product marketing, sales and support to drive successful product releases
Strong awareness of technology trends and competitive solutions, with ability to factor into product planning and positioning
Strong organizational and analytical skills with an ability to distill a broad array of sometimes conflicting data points into clear guidance or conclusions
The ability to correlate different opinions and input from a variety of sources and make informed technical decisions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear and complete requirements and user stories for a technical development audience, and relate the value of technical topics to business concepts
Excellent verbal communications skills, public speaking experience and comfort level with speaking to a technical architect or a CIO
