The Product Marketing Director holds responsibility for the successful strategy, launch, adoption and market penetration of SciQuest?s products into our market segments .
The key role is an externally focused product strategy expert. The position will develop strategies and plans to ensure SciQuest will grow to be the market leader in the eprocurement technology segment, including vision, strategy and market / product roadmap. This position owns key strategic decisions and upstream marketing responsibilities from conception to launch, including vision mapping, engagement with thought leaders, developing positioning, as well as drive strategic technology decisions, including business case leadership for both organic and inorganic product direction.
The Product Marketing Director will lead cross-functional efforts within the company to ensure market success. The Product Marketing Director will need to foster strong peer relationships with the product management, sales force, business development, product development, professional services and key customers/prospects. The Product Marketing Director will leverage internal resources for successful product decisions and advocacy, product launches and commercialization, and successful marketing campaigns and prospect-focused events such as webinars, executive briefings, and conferences. Interaction and engagement with key industry analysts, customers and innovative technology leaders is a critical success component
Key measurement criteria will be based on strategic roadmap development, successful product suite and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Market problem identification, analysis, intelligence
New product and market growth opportunities ? organic and inorganic
Develop and drive market segment vision, strategy, sizing and plans
Market / product roadmap creation & direction
Develop and drive market messaging and positioning / Product Commercialization
Establish Thought Leader relationships - customer, industry and analyst
Analyze and communicate competitive landscape
Prior technology product marketing/management experience is required (8 years minimum).
Ability to be a cross-functional team leader and self-driven individual contributor is essential.
Excellent and proven public speaking / presentation skills required.
Strong project management capability needed.
Demonstrated strategic marketing experience ? market development, growth, and/or acquisition experience.
Accounts payable and eprocurement software product management experience preferred.
Pragmatic Marketing? experience preferred
Ability to travel up to 30% is required.
