PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER The Rubicon Project
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Rubicon Project is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Product Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in the fast-paced online advertising industry. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for conceiving and developing innovative marketing programs that drive demand. He/she will work with other team members to help the sales team close more business by creating and executing a cross-channel marketing plan which includes: setting marketing goals, identifying target audience, developing product positioning and messaging, and identifying the appropriate sales channels and tactics.
Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. Experience with B2B business software and experience working with a direct sales team is required. Some experience in online advertising technology is preferred.
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market. Translate product features into benefits and a unique selling proposition that speaks to customers.
Sales enablement ? communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products
Develop external-facing content such as website copy, flyers, videos, etc
Product launch ? plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
Market intelligence ? be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to crush them
Demand generation ? develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for our products
Sales support ? generate collateral and provide competitive research and reporting information as needed
5+ years of product marketing experience in the technology sector with at least 2 years experience in a field facing role
Bachelor?s in Business or Marketing, MBA strongly preferred
Very strong written communication skills
Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
Proficient in Powerpoint/Keynote
Strong analytical capabilities
A get-it-done attitude and an ability to overcome roadblocks
