DUTIES: Responsible for production support and maintenance of Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. Use agile development methodologies to design and deploy production/release related solutions. Support and maintain scalable, web-based platform for hosting a variety of websites for clients supporting online loyalty program. Maintain and ensure up-time for all servers/services. Monitor the health of production and test systems. Work with other engineering team members to deploy new and updated websites and services, provide initial assessment and possible workarounds of production issues, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and help scope out hardware and software requirements. Provide recommendation on hardware/software tools. Automate system health check and overview dashboard. Automate monitoring of all production services.
Educational/Experience Requirements:Bachelor?s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive, professional experience in software development or production support
Additional Requirements, Experience and/or education must include:
Standard Internet infrastructure, protocols, and technologies;
Building Web Service applications using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), XML, SOAP, REST;
Code version control software such as CVS or SVN;
High level debugging and problem analysis using Unix.
