Project Engineer Voltaix
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Experience as a Project Engineer in an operating company (e.g. Chemicals, spec. gas), is required. Must be Proficient in project scope development, feasibility studies, detailed design, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, project tracking, construction, startup and project documentation closure.
The Project Engineer is responsible for executing a wide variety of small/medium projects, meeting budget and schedule constraints for New Jersey and Pennsylvania sites. Should have experience in the specification of instrumentation and controls (DCS, PLC) and writing functional design specifications for control systems.
Development of engineering documentation for debottlenecking, process safety, and productivity improvement projects.
Management of Change documentation
Guide activities of quality assurance and quality control groups.
Identification and management of resources (internal and external) to complete projects within budget and schedule.
Ensure that all projects receive adequate process hazard reviews and that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner.
Lead PSSRs, and responsible for resolution of safety issues and action items in a timely manner.
Ensure all projects meet the operability needs of both internal and external customers.
Identification and execution of projects to improve yield, productivity, and safety in existing manufacturing processes.
The candidate must have a Technical degree plus at least 10 years experience in process design and project execution in chemical production plants (Chemical Engineering degree preferred), a Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing Experience, proficiency in SPC and statistical analysis, and strong knowledge of Codes and Standards; as well as generally accepted Good Engineering Practice.
