THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for managing the client relationship and project implementation of a successful FirstBest?s Underwriting Management System (UMS) installation from inception phase, to production rollout, and to production support. The PM will work closely with business leaders and client-based counterparts on contracts, project plans, scope management, change management and other project management related activities. The PM must have experience with overseeing the delivery of large enterprise business solutions that integrate with legacy systems.
Create and monitor the Statement of Work (SOW) that contains deliverables, costs, and resource efforts for client project
Create and maintain project plans for the implementation of UMS within a client environment
Work with the Business Analyst (BA) and Solution Architect (SA) in the capture of business and technical requirements
Provide clear direction on how our UMS product works and best ways to meet business requirements/needs
Manage client?s backlog list and work with client and BA identify features for upcoming release
Run project meetings with team, track tasks, and progress
Work closely with the client project team to report project status, issues, mitigation strategy, and other project related activities
Work closely with client teams in a cross-functional capacity which could include system environments, vendor management / relationships, and other business / technical needs
Work closely with Engineering teams to manage dependencies for client project
Manage monthly invoicing process
Mentor new team members as required
Travel to client site as required
Deep experience in managing large scale projects including Microsoft Project, Iterative Development, release scoping / sizing
Experience leading project teams in complex, matrixed environments, including the use of offshore resources
General understanding of the commercial underwriting process from submission to issuance including clearance, risk evaluation, pricing, quoting, binding, and issuance
Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within project and business constraints (previous work in a consulting role is desirable)
10+ years of experience managing large, complex projects
5+ years of experience leading enterprise architecture, systems integration or package implementation and a proven track record of delivering high quality business enterprise solutions
5+ years of experience in managing large projects in commercial or personal lines working with both medium and large insurance carriers is preferred
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent
PMP Certification is preferred
