As the Connecture Project Manager, you will work with a variety of business units in order to facilitate the timely completion of assigned projects. This individual will be responsible for leading the project through the entirety of its lifecycle, from approval through completion, while chairing all related meetings, maintaining any relevant project documents, and ensuring that all issues are appropriately escalated. The Project Manager will also be responsible for providing concise periodic project status updates to the PMO Manager and will assist in the maintenance of PMO related company metrics.
Roles and Responsibilities
The essential responsibilities of the Project Manager are described below.
?Leads internal teams/task forces
?Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
?Identifies and manages required project resources.
?Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
?Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
?Effectively applies company project methodologies and enforces project management best practices.
?Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
?Identifies areas of risk and associated means of mitigation.
?Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
?Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.
?Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
?Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
?Tracks and reports team hours on a weekly basis.
?Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
?Effectively facilitates regular status meetings with project team.
?Sets, manages, and communicates expectations.
?Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
?Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
?Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
?Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
?BA or BS Degree or 4 year?s equivalent work experience
?3-5 years project management experience
?Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development models
?Ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
?Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
?Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
?Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
?3+ years? experience in a .NET-based SaaS company with multi-tenant architecture.
?Experience with TFS
?Experience with SharePoint
?Ability to challenge, motivate, develop, and mentor colleagues.
?Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
