Regional Sales Managers are responsible for prospecting and identifying new account opportunities in the SaaS market for IT Managed Service Providers. RSM?s are expected to be able to deliver effective presentations and demonstrations to help manage and further their relationship with a prospect from lead inception to close through a telesales model. RSM?s should have the capability of working with all levels within a prospects company; president?s, executives, owners, etc. They are expected to work with partners to collaborate and enhance the opportunity for a sale. RSM?s should stay ahead of the curve, keeping up with industry knowledge and up and coming trends in the SaaS market.
Proactively sell the Autotask Services Automation Solution to the IT Managed Services Market.
Prospect for and identify new account opportunities
Deliver effective presentations and demonstrations and manage the customer relationship from lead inception to deal close via a telesales model
Sell directly to Presidents, top executives and owners in the SMB marketplace
Deliver monthly sales forecasts and reports
Responsible for achieving monthly sales objectives
Limited travel is required - attend and support trade shows (domestic or international)
CHANNEL sales - additional responsibilities include:
Coordination of internal resources for resolving partner and end-user related issues
Assignment and follow of sales leads to partners as appropriate
Ability to find, cultivate and develop new Channel opportunities and Partners within our market space
Employees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Minimum of 2 years of successful B2B field software sales experience
Must demonstrate senior level sales forecasting, selling and closing skills, and have proven successful in developing new accounts; history of successful quota or sales objective attainment required
Excellent executive-level presentation skills with the ability to uncover or create need and motivate senior management with urgency
Must be excellent at building relationships and have excellent listening skills
Candidate must possess a consultative selling style
The candidate should also be a motivated, self-starter excited by new technologies, goal-oriented, a high achiever and excel in everything that they undertake
Strong telesales skills a must
Experience with short sales cycles and selling into a highly competitive environment is desirable
Knowledge of Internet technologies and understanding of the ASP business model
Knowledge of the IT, Professional Services, CRM, or ERP markets is desirable
Experience selling on demand, web hosted software applications is desirable
Resident in Geographic Territory (Tri State area of NY), home based or shared office space location
Must have car and be willing and able to travel to customer and meeting sites, 50-75% of the time
Local market experience a plus; Managed Service Providers, Software Providers, IT Consulting, Large Internal IT Organizations
