Regional Sales Manager Thermacore
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Thermacore, Inc., a global provider of thermal management solutions, has an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager to identify, follow-up and cultivate new business opportunities and high-level relationships with targeted and prospected OEM accounts across multiple vertical markets with the end result of developing and producing profitable sales volume within the assigned sales region.
? Develops, tracks, and manages Annual Sales Plans for assigned region to ensure market share, revenue and profit growth
? Generates and qualifies New Business Opportunities at Targeted and Prospected OEMs across multiple vertical markets
? Develops close relationships with various departments within target customer OEM companies in assigned region, including but not limited to design & development engineering, purchasing, quality, and materials/production planning
? Responsible for educating, demonstrating and training prospective customers on existing and new product technologies, capabilities, and Thermacore?s ?Outcomes Driven? Philosophy
? Manages and trains Independent Manufacturer Representative firms (IMR) contracted with in the assigned territory
? Responsible for all commercial and technical project management related activities for opportunities in assigned territory
? Coordinates program/project planning with customer and internal teams to set expectations, ensure identification of appropriate product requirements, manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs, and similar considerations. Develops project plans; Communicates changes and progress; Manages project team activities
? Coordinates the completion, response, and submission of functional and technical elements of customer RFIs/RFQs/RFPs
? Negotiates contract terms and conditions with customers. Records and reviews potential changes in scope of contract and advises management and customer of potential impact changes
? Represents Thermacore at tradeshow exhibits, conferences, and on-site customer visits
? Assists marketing personnel with Strategic Marketing Plans by assessing growth opportunities, competitive analysis, and conveying the voice of the customer
This position requires a broad set of business and technical skills, and technical sales and marketing experience. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in technical sales and knowledge of thermal management technologies. The candidate must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a highly technical engineering and manufacturing organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. The candidate must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFIs/RFQs/RFP?s, and when submitting reports. The ideal candidate is organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches, and must be prepared for extensive travel.
Qualified candidates will have:
? Between 5 and 10 years of sales or business development experience in a custom thermal management or electronics cooling solution manufacturing environment or similar technical selling experience
? Four-year degree in Engineering from an accredited college. A Bachelor?s or Master?s in Business Administration a plus (preferred).
? Ability to uphold strong customer relationships
? Ability to work as a member of a multifunctional team
? Able to convey customer requirements to internal Engineering and Operational Management teams
? Ability to hire/terminate, manage, and train Independent Manufacturer Representative firms
? Ability to read technical specifications, CAD, and engineering drawings is required.
? Ability to use advanced modeling packages such as SolidWorks, FloTHERM, COSMOS/M, ICEPAK a definite plus
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a working knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Outlook (email), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Project Management software
? Ability to work independently with professionals at all levels both internally and externally, with minimal supervision and direction
? Willingness to travel 30 to 50% of time
? Candidates must have a valid driver?s license and an acceptable driving record
? Candidates must also be able to meet the requirements to work on DDTC/ITAR restricted projects
