InContext Solutions is looking to hire a motivated and entrepreneurially-minded Research Intern for its Chicago office. Working within the Shopper & Retail Insights team, our Intern will get unparalleled experience contributing to client research projects directly, working with top consumer brands (think McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Nestl-?), and turning data into insightful and engaging stories that meaningfully impact the way our clients run their business. He or She will also have the opportunity to work with new and constantly-evolving virtual experience technology, and to play and active role in shaping this new and growing part of the market research landscape.

Following are specific required qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in a Business, Marketing or Social Science-related field, ideally with emphasis on statistics or quantitative research methods
Ability to apply logical thinking to gathering and interpreting data. Exposure as a part of a market research course or a previous summer job or internship is preferred.
Service-oriented philosophy, ability to think critically and creatively about our clients? business problems
Keen analytical and interpretative skills, attention to detail
Strong Excel skills and moderate-to-strong PowerPoint skills
Experience with additional analytical software or data visualization tools is a plus
Proven project management and organizational skills; ability to independently manage several tasks or projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams at all levels in a fast-paced setting
Hunger for knowledge and ability to take initiative to create and suggest learning opportunities
Friendly and likeable. We wouldn?t hire someone we wouldn?t like to sit next to on a plane for 12 hours.

The Research Interns will report to a senior member of the Shopper & Retail Insights Team, which is a close-knit group of just 10 people from a variety of research and non-research backgrounds, all of whom share a passion for delivering strategy-defining insights to our clients. Day to day, they will work cross-functionally with all parts of the organization (Sales, Technology, Creative and Project Operations) to ensure the successful delivery of our research studies.
When will I start? What will I make?
Ideal candidates will be local (based in Chicago) and have availability to start a new part-time position in the next 1-2 weeks. The interview process should take no more than 1-2 weeks from initial phone interview to offer letter.
